Have had the pleasure of dining here since I was 8 years old. 25 years. My grandparents live nearby and whenever we visit, we must make a stop to "The White Potato", as we affectionately refer to it. Best poutine around, the fries are homemade and the sauce is to die for. Perfect steamy hot dogs, delicious burgers! My 90 lbs 85 year old grandmother will devour their fries!
Picnic tables indoors, and ridiculously affordable prices, 4 of us dine with drinks for $40 including tip. Fast service, cash only. Can't beat that!! -

When we lived in Malone, New York, we would make the 30-minute drive to Leblanc Patates at least once per month, and it was always worth it. Their food, while simple, is delicious. I still contend it's the best hot dog (dressed) I've ever had, and it's also the best cheap burger I've eaten as well. Their fries are delicious, as is their poutine. My bride swears by their grilled cheese as well. Additionally, their prices are amazing. If I recall correctly, two of us could eat a meal for under $15, easily. They only take (Canadian) cash, which isn't a big deal, you just have to remember to bring it! There's a bank right down the road that has an ATM with reasonable fees too, even with the exchange. We visited the area for the first time in over five years in 2017 and eating at Leblanc Patetes was something we had near the top of our "to-do" list. It hasn't changed a bit. I cannot recommend this local luncheonette enough.

My high school lunch favorite is still as good as I remember. It was also my go-to after a night at the Long Rapids Pub and the nightclub next door. 30 years later, it's now my husbands favorite place to eat poutine (he's from So-Cal)!!!

This place is excellent! the dressed dogs and poutine are world class. If youre nearby, or even remotely close give it a try. You will not be disappointed! Only cons are its a small place to sit down and eat... that and rude quebec'ers lol

Local diner, serving greasy but comforting fare such as hot dogs, poutine and hot chicken. Local business appreciated by the locals because of the cheap prices ($1.59 for a steamed dog), the pleasant service and the no-fuss seating room, which has more in common with cafeterias than restaurants. I ordered two steamed dogs, generously topped with coleslaw, and a small fries, and the whole meal only cost around $5. The fries are typical from any greasy spoon diner, so order the poutine if you have a bigger appetite than mine. There is a makeshift patio on the outside.for sunny days.
